Press : MENU, COPIES, < , > , MENU , STOP .On LCD display will appear F/W version.Using this info you will be able to look for corect solution.

I recently bought a new multifunction device Samsung SCX-4300.when i Disconnect the chip from cartridge for firm ware update Printer shows "Jam 1 or install toner" go on TECH MODE". Then press the "Menu". Then we go in the menu "DATA SETUP" and find "FLASH UPGRADE"; click "OK" is displayed [LOCAL], press "OK" it shows only "PROGRAM UPGRADING PLEASE WAIT" any idea for this new version Samsung SCX-4300. Old version not shows "Jam 1 or install toner" when i Disconnect the chip from cartridge for firm ware update. these version updated successfully and worked

A little hint : V1.22 can be solve with v1.21 fix.

Hi. You did this ? <-Need to activate the firmware update the printer. Push the button-down menu, copy, left, right, menu, right. " After the display shows "TECH MODE". Then press the "Menu". Then we go in the menu "DATA SETUP" and find "FLASH UPGRADE"; click "OK" is displayed [LOCAL], press "OK" again. The printer says "usbprn2.exe FILE", then "Data receiving" - the printer is ready to download. 4. Run download4300_23.bat and begins the process of flashing. 5. After flashing to clear the counters - Menu> Service> Reset> OK> All settings> OK. ->

Hi,

I have scx-4300 with 1.22 firmware. I want to reset toner counter.

I used the 1.23 fix but after openening the bat file it remains in downloading and nothing.

should I upgrade the firmware first if so where can I find it ?

if not do u have any solution to my problem ?

I already refilled the toner it's the one which comes free.
