It was a terrible experiment.

The formatter turn into dead piece!

It does not work. Uploading the firmware makes the printer dead. It doesn't turn on and not recognized as any windows device. If power on key is pressed only orange light is on. Windows does not even shows a message that it is Unknown USB device - no reaction at all on windows. So, usbprns2.exe can not be used to re upload original firmware or any other firmware. I returned it for the service as it was covered by warranty and they fixed it.

On some Russian webforms, they say, would work on all 16xx firmaware fixed version. It is possible to work or not. You try and tell us if you are successful.

Hello,

Does the software fix for ML-1660 works for the ML-1666? ML-1666 test print does not show anything about OS version. It is almost similar to what TaoTao has posted (link).

 

Is there any problem to run this fix for ML-1666? What is the risk if it is wrong version? I mean, is  it possible to rollback to previous condition.
